GENERAL INFORMATION

This well-established and welcoming hotel is situated 5 minutes from the centre of Aranda del Duero, in the heart of the attractive Ribera del Duero region. The accommodation comprises comfortable and ample rooms and amongst the services and facilities there is a wine Bodega dating back to the 16th century and a popular carvery serving local specialities. The area is most famous for its wine production and the surrounding countryside is scattered with attractive vineyards. In addition there are numerous examples of medieval religious architecture, forts and castles and Romanic constructions. The region is also extremely well-known for its tasty, traditional cuisine, much of which is prepared with fresh, local produce.

AREA INFORMATION

There is plenty to see and do in the area surrounding the hotel and some of the most fascinating points of interest include: Clunia Sulpicia (25 km) – This ancient Roman city features many well-preserved relics from its historic past, including a theatre, mosaics and Roman baths. Santo Domingo de Silos (40 km) – This beautiful village is the home of an old Benedictine abbey, with a famous Romanesque cloister from the 11th century, as well as cypress trees, a pharmacy, an absorbing museum and Gregorian chants. Peñaranda de Duero (20 km) – Peñaranda de Duero is the home of the Palacio de Avellaneda, famous for its 16th century coffered ceiling and a beautiful cobblestone square. Covarrubias (55 km) – This quiet, charming village is typical of the traditional Castilian style, with wooden houses, balconies, coats of arms and narrow cobblestone streets. Of particular interest is the village’s collegiate church with its imposing tower. The traditional medieval market and the Fiesta de la Cereza (the cherry harvest festival), in the first week of July, are also fascinating for tourists exploring the region.

Aranda de Duero is situated 160 km from Madrid. By Car: - Take the A1 motorway, which connects Madrid with France. - Take the exit for Aranda de Duero Sur. Parking: Parking is available free of charge.

Our restaurant features a pleasant Castellan decor, including wooden coffered ceilings and handcrafted stone arches. Our speciality is the wood oven roast lamb and the best wines of La Ribera. It is open for breakfast from 07:00 until 11:30, for lunch from 13:00 to 16:30 and for dinner between 21:00 and 23:30. Our cafeteria opens from 07:00 until 00:00.
