Gaudi Hotel - Barcelona

Situated along the Ramblas, in the heart of the Gothic quarter, the hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of many of Barcelona’s major attractions. The accommodation is light and airy and some of the rooms boast views of the multi-coloured towers of Palau Güell, located just opposite. It is also situated next to the Gran Teatre del Liceu, a famous opera house and being on the Ramblas there are many other landmarks and tourist sites right on your doorstep. The hotel building dates back to 1964 and was renovated into a hotel for the ‘92 Olympic Games. The hotel, having been renovated again, is modern and avant-garde and retains many original features. There is also a free gym and wireless internet connection.

The hotel has 2 lifts and a bar/lounge. Smoking is allowed in the bar. The last three floors of the hotel boast a great views overlooking the famous towers of Palau Güell.

Gaudí Hotel is named after the famous Catalan architect and designer, Antoni Gaudí and Barcelona is home to the majority of his art and architecture. Other places of great interest are the Picasso Museum, El Liceu, the port and El Maremàgnum shopping and leisure centre. The nearest metro station is Liceu.

From the airport you have two possibilities of transport: 1)TAXI: this takes like 25/30 minutes depending on traffic. And it costs around 30 Euros. You can get the taxi there but please ASK BEFORE how much is going to cost (estimate rate), in order to avoid problems and extra charge. 2)AEROBUS: you have to go till Plaza Catalunya and there you can pick a taxi (it will cost less than 5 Euros because it´s near from us) or you can walk all down the Ramblas (taking the sea direction and after the Opera Liceo the second on the righ). This can take 10 or 15 minutes. If you ask for the Palace Guell we are just in front.
