GENERAL INFORMATION
The Carmen de Santa Inés is a small hotel full of charm situated in the historic area of Granada the Albayzín- declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The building was originally an Arab house reformed in the 16th and 17th century. It has a magnificent patio that leads to a garden full of myrtles, fountains and fruit trees.
Its 9 rooms all different are furnished with antique furniture and overlook wither the Alhambra or the hotel’s private garden,

Granada is 660m above sea level in the foothills of the snow capped Sierra Nevada. The city is sprawled over two main hills, the Alhambra and the Albaicín, and is crossed by two rivers, the Genil and the Darro. A former stronghold of Moorish Spain Granada is full of romance and folklore. Washington Irving (Tales of the Alhambra) used the symbol of this city, the pomegranate (Granada), to conjure up a spirit of romance. In fact, the cities name is thought to derive from the Moorish word Karnattah. Although other historians believe that it comes from Garnatha Alyehud, the name of an old Jewish ghetto.

From Granada Airport:
Take Motorway towards Granada. Once in Granada follow signs to Plaza Nueva, from there continue on passed a church called Santa Ana, then take the street called Carrera del Darro and after the second bridge take the first street on your left and carry on until you see a car parking where you can leave the car.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The hotel recommends parking in the public car park Neptuno (EUR 12 a day) directly next to the Exit 129 (Recogidas Centro) and take a taxi to the Hotel due to the difference of the price of the car parks. The closest parking to the hotel costs: EUR 20 a day.
